This is an early 1969 (Build Date 1/28/1969) Shelby GT-350.
It comes with a Deluxe Marti Report, in its original color, original engine, with dealer added AC. Factory PS, PB, PD, AM radio, sport deck rear, and 3.25 rear axle.
Phoenix acquired this driver car in November of 2021 and DROVE it from Denver to Houston, non-stop with no issues of any kind. Car performed flawlessly.
The car is an original CA car (according to the Marti, the only car with this equipement shipped to CA), so you can rely on the fact that it is rust free. It has spent only the past few years in Denver and has been garaged and lightly driven.
On arroval in Houston we elected to pull the engine and detail both the engine bay, front end and rear end assemblies. This procoess included a complete rebuild of the front suspension, replacement of 100% of the underhood AC components with an upgraded Old Air products system (original parts available with the car), rebuild or replacement of the: battery, battery cables, decals, tear down of the engine to prot, polish and upgrade heads for better performance, replacement of all hoses, and belts, paint repairs as necessary and rebuild of AC system inside the car with freshened connections, switches and rebuild of the original clock. Other cosmetic repairs were made as necessary. The rear end was cleaned and repainted in correct colors, new shocks were installed all around and original style hood/door rubber bumpers were installed. Lastly, it has had all brakes redone, front and rear.
The engine bay is unusual in that it is highly original with the original engine, heads, intake, oil pan, starter (rebuilt), distributor (upgraded to electronic for improved starting and performance), rebuilt carb, new plug wires, replacement of exhaust manifolds with headers and, finally, respray of underside with correct red oxide primer.
While this car is NOT a perfect show car, it is a highly reliable and well detailed driver capable of standing its own in local car shows and then some.
